Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company business objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities, trade lanes, and customer segments.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, freight rates, and shipping demands.
- Support commercial team in achieving vessel load factor and revenue targets.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers (importers/exporters, NVOCCs, freight forwarders).
- Lead customer presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions.
- Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to ensure service satisfaction.
3. Trade & Route Development
- Propose new shipping routes or service improvements based on market analysis.
- Monitor vessel performance, space utilization, and cargo mix.
- Collaborate with Operations on schedule reliability and service enhancement.
4. Branding & Promotion
- Oversee corporate branding, company profile, and promotional materials.
- Represent the company at industry events, port meetings, and networking sessions.
- Manage digital marketing presence (website, LinkedIn, industry platforms).
5. Revenue & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor monthly sales performance and marketing KPIs.
- Prepare management reports on revenue growth, market share, and customer portfolio.
- Develop pricing strategies in coordination with Finance and Commercial team.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor marketing team members.
- Set clear performance targets and conduct periodic evaluations.
- Foster a performance-driven and customer-oriented culture.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Logistics or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years experience in shipping line / shipping agency / freight forwarding industry.
- Strong knowledge of international trade, port operations, and liner services.
- Proven track record in business development and revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
