Job Description

A leading manufacturer of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes and specialty materials, serving industries such as automotive, electronics, construction, and industrial manufacturing across Asia-Pacific.

Role Overview

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth in Singapore and selected ASEAN markets for pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes and related solutions. The role requires a strong blend of technical sales, key account management, and new business development, particularly in industrial and OEM segments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute sales strategies for adhesive tapes and specialty products in Singapore
  2. Identify and penetrate new business opportunities in:
    • Automotive & transportation
    • Electronics & electrical
    • Construction & building materials
    • General industrial manufacturing
  3. Manage and grow key accounts, including OEMs, converters, and distributors
  4. Provide solution-based selling, working closely with customers on product selection and application performance
  5. Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, technical service, operations) to deliver customized solutions
  6. Drive pricing strategy, negotiations, and contract management
  7. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
  8. Build and manage channel partners/distributors in the region
  9. Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline tracking, and management reports
  10. Support regional expansion initiatives across ASEAN markets where required

Requirements

Key Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Business
  2. 5–10+ years of B2B sales experience in:
    • Adhesive tapes / pressure-sensitive materials
    • Specialty chemicals / coatings / converting industry
  3. Strong understanding of:
    • Adhesive applications (bonding, masking, insulation, protection)
    • Industrial customer requirements and processes
  4. Proven experience managing OEMs, distributors, and industrial accounts
  5. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and win new business
  6. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  7. Ability to work independently in a lean team environment

Preferred Experience

  1. Experience with pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) or tape converting processes
  2. Existing network in Singapore industries (electronics, automotive suppliers, construction)
  3. Exposure to regional (ASEAN) markets
  4. Experience working in MNC or regional manufacturing setup
